Hydraulic tools from CARL WALTER cover high torque ranges (up to 100,000 Nm) and have a very high accuracy, which is up to + / - 3%. Due to high torques, use only with power inserts! Of course we supply special force inserts according to customer specifications (e.g. force specification or space specification). Based on our many years of experience, we offer our hydraulic tools as standard articles or as custom-made products according to special requirements.

All hydraulic tools have been specially developed for confined spaces and are therefore characterized by small head radiuses and an extremely compact construction. Using the most modern methods (CAD/FEM), the optimum ratio of weight and torque was designed and calculated. CARL WALTER hydraulic tools are therefore designed to be extremely light and user-friendly.
The comprehensive accessory program of our hydraulic tools ranges from exchangeable cassettes (square drive cassettes, ring cassettes) to sockets with direct toothing and special support arms.

CARL WALTER hydraulic tools include, among others, the tools of the proprietary brand BOLTMAX, which includes the following product types:

As a manufacturer of hydraulic tools, we have a high level of vertical integration in addition to our know-how. The development of hydraulic tools specially adapted to individual customer requirements is therefore one of our core competencies. All individual hydraulic tools are developed and designed by our design department in close coordination with the customer.

BOLTMAX compact - The hydraulic torque wrench
The RSLSDS tool set from the BOLTMAX family consists of: the BOLTMAX compact RS basic tool, the BOLTMAX compact S square cassette and the BOLTMAX compact RSLA support (supplied without swivel coupling).

Our hydraulic tools of the BOLTMAX compact series are particularly characterized by their compact design and the small head radiuses, which enables universal use. In addition, they consist of few individual parts, which means that only little maintenance is required. Thanks to the flexible support, the BOLTMAX compact series can also be used individually. Corresponding inserts with direct serration as well as ring spanner cassettes can be found in our range.

Our assembly and disassembly system for plate heat exchangers BOLTMAX xt achieves a high working speed (approx. 10 min to disassemble a cooler with M39 spindles). This hydraulic tool requires only one operator and thus allows a very efficient operation.

Precise force control (pressure gauge/pressure relief valve) ensures high precision and various interchangeable components provide great flexibility. Due to the high safety standards, safe working in hazardous areas (with air hydraulic pump) is possible. In addition, safe working is supported by not squeezing out the threaded rods. The assembly and disassembly system is also characterized by its compact design and low-maintenance operation (no highly loaded gears). A thrust bearing is not required.

The BOLTMAX tension is suitable for controlled pretensioning of bolts with hydraulic assistance.

Our hydraulic tools of the BOLTMAX tension series are particularly convincing due to their high accuracy, which is especially important when hydraulically tensioning bolted connections. In addition, the BOLTMAX tension enables fast application, which increases work productivity. Due to its easy handling, the BOLTMAX tension can be used in a wide variety of work areas, such as flange bolting. The thread projection must be at least equal to the bolt diameter (nut height = bolt diameter).
